To the Honorable Jim Saxton,
My name is Ron Riker and I have ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease.
I was in your Washington office to meet with you in April to discuss
my plight with the disease and my fight with the Social Security
administration for the last two and half years. I am sorry that
you did not have the courage or conviction to meet with a dying
man whom you represent. I find it tragic that people have wasted their
votes on you.
I am through being diplomatic, polite and gentlemenlike.
The Social Security adminstration has once again denied me my
benefits, after two and a half years. And I had to fight for
for the same amount of time to get the Medicare I am entitled to by law.
Because I receive no Social Security Benefit, I can not afford
Medicare.
You should know when you seek the voice of the people for
for re election, that I the dying man, will be the strongest voice
in opposition to your remaining in office.
I will not be ignored by representatives I have voted into office,
and will take my voice to the press in the coming weeks about
your lack of action on my behalf.
Sincerely,
Ron Riker
